This is American Football

Let's face it, the BWYAA formed for football. Local families were tired of taking their boys to other towns to play and wanted a local venue. While so much has changed in the youth football landscape, the core fundamentals remain. Many of our football players go on to play for Big Walnut Middle and High School as well as other districts around the state. On average, over 92% of the 7th grade football players at Big Walnut Middle School had their start with the BWYAA. We are proud to have introduced them to this sport.

This page is dedicated to all of the football players who had their beginning at JR Smith Park. We have done our best to capture this information as accurately as possible. If you know of anyone who played for the BWYAA and went on to play football in college, please drop us an email to let us know. The information to the right provides the BWYAA players name, the college team for which they played and the years they spent with the BWYAA.

A special thanks to Barbara Dean for working diligently to provide this intial collection of names as part of our 40th Anniversary celebration in 2014!
